What the tool checks

  • AppXDeployment-Server events and package evidence near the failed operation.
  • Xbox app, Store, Gaming Services, App Installer, and framework dependencies.
  • Install drive, free space, package volume, WindowsApps context, and file-system health signals.
  • Update, BITS, Store Install Service, policy, antivirus interference, and pending restart.

Why a generic reset is not enough

The same outer code can wrap a missing dependency, package conflict, disk problem, or policy block. The scanner uses the inner event and system context to avoid recommending the wrong repair.

Expose the real AppX error

Run the scan while the failed installation is still recent so the relevant event evidence is available.

Repair boundary

Unsupported editions, damaged storage, organization policy, and packages whose publisher must issue a corrected build may remain manual.
